With this expansion, Reifenhäuser bundles all its R&D activities for extruders, blown film lines, cast film lines, WPC lines, and nonwoven lines in two laboratory buildings at the Troisdorf site. A total of 10 high-tech production lines with more than 50 extruders and an annual capacity of 60,000 tons will be available exclusively for research and development. Reifenhäuser also offers its developers, customers and partners two laboratories fully equipped for analyses and materials testing.
Klaus Reifenhäuser, member of the Reifenhäuser management board says: 'Research and development is the only way to be a leader in technology. We have created ideal conditions for R&D at our Troisdorf site. Our technology centers are the largest in the world for this industry, and they offer unique opportunities not just for us, but also for our customers and partners. This investment also demonstrates our commitment to technological leadership.'
Reifenhäuser will be presenting the two technology centers accomodating the latest generation of Reifenhäuser extrusion technology during an Open House held on occasion of K 2013. Visitors will be given an opportunity to see for themselves the newest innovations.
